Dear meteor observers,

While writing a small note on meteors, and trying to find some things to say about February lack of activity in Northen hemisphere, I was wondering about the fact that there are very few nightime meteor shower during the first semester of the year (8 out of 32, ie 25%). But at the same time, this trend is balanced by the high number of daytime meteor showers : 10 out of 12, ie 83%. I was wondering if this fact could be explained with celestial meachnics, or if it was just a random distribution of those night/daytime showers.

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Best wishes,
Karl
