Hello Enrico,

I edited the file containing the shower assignement for MetREC to allow PER
beginning with 13.07. On 13.07. there were no PER. For 14.07. and 15.07. see the
following extract of my logfiles:

Observing Statistics
====================
start of observation     : 2010/07/14 20:29:13
end of observation       : 2010/07/15 01:30:00
effective observing time : 4 h 0 m 24 s
# active meteor showers  : 5
# observed meteor showers: 2
# observed meteors       : 9
Sporadics (SPO)          : ä=7, í=0.6 mag
Perseids (PER)           : ä=1, í=2.3 mag
S-delta-Aquarids (SDA)   : ä=1, í=1.1 mag
Piscis-Austrinids (PAU)  : ä=0
Antihelion (ANT)         : ä=0
alpha-Capricornids (CAP) : ä=0

Observing Statistics
====================
start of observation     : 2010/07/15 20:26:13
end of observation       : 2010/07/16 02:10:00
effective observing time : 5 h 43 m 22 s
# active meteor showers  : 5
# observed meteor showers: 3
# observed meteors       : 25
Sporadics (SPO)          : ä=19, í=1.3 mag
Perseids (PER)           : ä=4, í=0.3 mag
Antihelion (ANT)         : ä=1, í=1.6 mag
alpha-Capricornids (CAP) : ä=1, í=0.9 mag
Piscis-Austrinids (PAU)  : ä=0
S-delta-Aquarids (SDA)   : ä=0

So I can confirm your findings of an early PER activity at least from 15.07. -
16.07. and the missing of PER on 17.07. On the 18.07. there wera again 3 PER.
Fyi, I'm using a mintron with a 6mm f/0.8 lens directed at an azimuth of 90°
(east) and an elevation of 45°.

Clear skies
Bernd
