(meteorobs) Visual Meteor Database

Dear all,

The Visual Meteor Database (VMDB) collects meteor
observations since 1988, and the files actually go
back to 1982. It's the largest collection of visual
data. I am gradually updating it with the data of
the recent years and have updated the corresponding
page at the IMO web site:
http://www.imo.net/data/visual/

It is actually intended to replace the VMDB by the
Virtual Meteor Observatory (VMO) eventually, but
this is a step-by-step process. The advantage of
the VMDB is its simplicity, it's disadvantage of
course is the limited information stored.

I am continuing with the data. Please feel free to
have a look at the files and use the data for any
analysis. The total number of meteors is almost
3.1 million now.

The files 2008-2010 are still incomplete. There are
probably some data missing also in older files. If
you note something strange, please let me know.

Best regards,
Rainer
