All,
We received 26 fireball reports last night and early this morning at Armagh
Observatory, reporting a slow east-west moving fireball occurring around
17:45 UTC last night (Nov 28) north of the island of Ireland.
The reports may be openly access here:
http://arpc65.arm.ac.uk/cgi-bin/fireballs/browse.pl
The number of reports received so quickly is remarkable for a single event
here, although it may well be explained by the convenient time and low
altitude of the event.
I am aware of a decay of a Long March rocket which was predicted for Nov 26
- however this fireball might be somewhat too North and too late to fit the
explanation? Any clues?
Geert
