Hello all,
Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of detail in this post. I did feel the need to post it, though.
This morning, (April 2), at around 4:45am ET, I was driving to work on a dark road. Through the corner of my left eye, a bright white meteor glided across the sky. I didn't see where it started, but it was heading approximately southwest, to northeast.
It traversed a bit of a distance. It started with a slim train, and quickly turned into a bright "dot" for the rest of it's flight. I'd estimate it was slightly brighter than Venus, maybe Magnitude -5? It reminded me of a Geminid, with it's pure-white color. Needless to say, my heart woke up, and so did I!
I'd say the April Fireballs are starting up nicely!
Thanks,
Anthony
