(meteorobs) Meteor Obs. 7/31/11 & 8/01/11 - Mathias. WVa

     Screech Owl Hill Observatory, Mountain Meadows
                Mathias, West Virginia
               July 30 - Augist 1, 2011

We had a couple good nights to observe, with fair to
good conditions the whole time. I was able to get in
four hours of meteor observing over the two nights.
I also saw comet Garradd C/2009 P1, which seemed to be
having an small outburst as it had a stellar central
condensation Sunday night that wasn't there Saturday
night. Also Vesta was fairly easy to spot with only the
naked-eye with a 6.5 limiting magnitude. It was at 5.7
magnitude at the time.

              FOV=00.0 +05 7:00-8:05 UT both nights
