I observed on the morning of August 10. Perseids were fairly sparse, with 27
in 1.75 hours. Skies were initially affected by the setting moon but soon
darkened up very well. Nothing really spectacular, but a nice morning under
the stars. Before I went out, I could hear coyotes howling from somewhere
nearby.
