(meteorobs) Geminid + Moon Halo. 2011 12 14 UT.

I had a steady, thin overcast with circular halo/rainbow around the 
moon. I also had about 10 minutes of a relatively clear hole a bit 
Northeast of overhead. During those 10 minutes, standing with the 
moon behind me, staring through the hole I saw a spectacular Geminid 
which I'd estimate at around magnitude -5 or -6 transit about 20 
degrees of sky. That was my one and only meteor for about 20 minutes 
of watching.
