Two things come to mind:
"God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference."

And "You can't fight Mother Nature" :)

I feel for you, Wayne.  I go into a mild depression when the weather or life
events ruin my observing plans, especially the strong showers.

Just mild mind you.  I get over it.   But I always remember what might have
been save for those dang clouds.  That session (underlined for emphasis) was
the one with the surprise major spurt of activity, high overhead while you
weren't watching, or the purple-pink fragmenting -20 fireball that left a
30-minute train, etc. and soforth.

There's always next time.  ;)
