On the contrary Jim: what Paul correctly pointed out is that one and the same 
meteor was ascribed a whole gamma of colours by different observers: they did 
not all report it to have one particular colour.

That *is* very strong evidence of the point he made: that colour perception in 
fireballs is a very personal thing. This case points that out again.

We just had a long-running discussion about fireball colours on this list, 
focussing on the reality of a bias towards "green" in fireballs.

Paul's comment was valid, to the point, and yes: constructive.
