So what is the scientific basis for you insisting there will lots of bright
fireballs (and the "mitts", implying they will drop meteorites) from a small
asteroid that will pass 11996 km +/- 208 km ABOVE the earth's surface?

Sure, it's another close approach, but not surprising considering the rate
at which discoveries are being made, including at least 194 within 0.2 LD,
74 within 1 LD, and 24 within 2 LD.
