(meteorobs) Leonids 1966: The Agony of Defeat!

In November 1966, one of the greatest meteor showers of  all time took 
place and I missed it!  As Tom Seaver once said after he  came within two outs 
of pitching a perfect game, "I can't measure the  disappointment."  
 
Even though 45-years have come and gone, as I note in  this piece I wrote 
for SPACE.com, it still hurts!
