Thanks for this pdf link, Ed - I am anxious to read it, but every time I try to open it, my computer freezes.

Is anyone else having difficulty? My computer is up to date, so it's not my equipment.

Is this paper posted somewhere else?

Cheers,
Pete

For a current view of meteor research and history I suggest that interested people download this file. An excellent overview of what is currently known about this field until 1998.
