October 24/25 & 25/26, 2011
We were lucky to have mostly clear skies on October 24/25,
but only partly clear the next night. The best Orionid
seen during the formal observing was 0 magnitude, but a
-3 magnitude yellow Orionid was seen around 7:45 UT while
casual observing. On the first night, from 1:26 until
1:41 UT we saw a nice Aurora with vivid red colored
areas, and several white curtains in the NNW to the NE
ending near the star Capella.
Facing South FOV=04.5+05 6:02-7:02 UT both nights
FOV=05.5+05 7:02-8:02 UT 10/25/11 only
