Here's a report that was submitted to the Fort Worth NWS office:

"Large meteor passed overhead at 7:56:30 CST.  Course was due east.   
First noted approximately 20 degrees above W horizon, and passed about  
5 degrees south of directly overhead.  Double boom heard at 8:00:30  
CST. Object was 1/2 the size of waxing moon.  Broke into two major  
chunks, many smaller.  White plasma (sun-colored) with long golden  
tail."
