Hi Dirk,

There's an image of what looks like a meteor on the University of 
Hertfordshire all sky camera from Niton, Isle of Wight.

Date: 2012 01 12
Time 18:16 UT

The general direction looks to be WSW of that location, probably putting 
the meteor over the English Channel.

It is also imaged low on the SW horizon, again on the University of 
Hertfordshire all sky camera, but from Bayfordbury.
