(meteorobs) AAVSO & AMS 100 Year Certificate Appreciation

Fellow Meteor Enthusiasts,

    As many of you know, visual meteor observers are often interested in 
both
meteorites and other fields of astronomy, notably variable star 
observing. A few
days ago, the AAVSO posted a nice certificate that they sent to Dr. 
David Meisel,
Executive Director of AMS, in recognition of the AMS centennial 
anniversary last
year. It notes that many meteor observers were/are also variable star 
observers,
and that both organizations received generous donations from the late 
Clinton B Ford,
himself a former observer and member of both organizations. Because of 
this, AAVSO
decided to issue this historic citation to AMS.
