We had a beautifully clear night all night Friday/
Saturday morning at our cabin at Mountain Meadows,
in Mathias, West Virginia. I was up most of the night
observing. Early Friday night we saw comet Hergenrother
with 25x100 binoculars, and a few casual meteors. Later
from 6:04 to 8:04 UT I did some formal meteor observing
seeing 8 STA, 10 Orionids, a few EGE, and 19 sporadics.
The best meteor was a beautiful -4 STA fireball with a
blue-green-yellow color and a 44 second train. Awesome.
