I watched from my usual site in Bel Alton, MD (77d W, 38.5 N), for a Teff of 1h 43m. I saw 10 ORIs, an average of 1 per 10 minutes, although, like Paul, the rate was higher before 4:30 am EDT/ 830 UT. The brightest ORI was -1. EGEs took the next most numerous prize of 5 during the session. LMIs and STAs both produced two members. I am interested in how many other meteorobs observers see the zodiacal light just before or during astronomical twilight. Under Bel Alton's +5.4 skies (pretty good for this site), I was able to see the z.l. horizonward of Regulus even with some city light domes and horizon skyglow. I could trace it to an elevation of about 35 degrees at 10UT/ 6 am EDT. Both the Milky Way and M44 were clearly seen at that time. Oct 21/22, 2012Bel Alton, MD813-956 UT on 10/22, Teff= 1h 43mNo clouds or obstructions; I faced south the entire session, looking just north of Orion. Magnitude distributions: ORI: -1, 0, +1 (2), 3 (2), 4 (2), 5 (2) Total 10, mean mag= 2.50 STA: -1 and +1, total 2, mean= 0 mag EGE: +2 (2), 3, 4, 5 , total 5, mean= 3.2 LMI: +2, 4, total=2, mean= 3.0 SPO: 0, +2 and 5, total= 3, mean= 2.33 Best wishes, Rich
