[comets-ml] Funding refused by Australian govt for Rob McNaught at the AAO
I've just received a distressing email from Rob McNaught. His application for funding from the Australian government has been refused. This means he'll be out of a job from Jan 2013 leaving the Southern Hemisphere unprotected in terms of locating and tracking NEO's including comets.

I'm so ashamed of my government. This is no way to treat our most prolific comet discoverer.

Protest letters to the PM would be appreciated. She has a direct feedback form: http://www.pm.gov.au/contact-your-pm

The more protest letters the better, especially those from overseas.
