Greetings again meteor folks,
I had another productive two hour, "Bermuda High-enhanced", pre-max PER
meteor session this morning from the rooftop meteor perch here in St.
Augustine. The PERs seemed pretty much exactly where I left them yesterday
morning in terms of strength, but the individual meteors were a bit
brighter. more showy and left more trains than yesterday.
Once again thoguh, I had no negative magnitude PERs. this morning, but a
couple hit zero magnitude.and several others were at +1. The non-PERs were
still pretty active as the SDAs were still evident and I had two KCGs and
another nice ATR.
I still have yet to decipher all the data, but basically I had 79
meteors total in the same two hour period as yesterday morning and 46 of
them were PERs. The PERs were at 22 and 24 for the two hours, almost
identical to what I had yesterday morning. Full data to follow, all this
early morning watch stuff I've been doing is beginning to fatigue me and I
noticed myself going downhill a bit towards the latter half of my second
hour this morning.
We still have a long way to go on the PERs and I may have to reserve
some energy to be fresh for the big nights to follow. Our weather reports
look promising. After all, I ain't as young as I used to be...(darn
it...;o). Best of luck to everyone...

More later, Paul in north Florida
