I had a couple of Kappa Cygnids like that this year, both in the mag -6
to mag -8 range. "Flashbulb" is a good description.

What's interesting is that neither of these very short meteors was close
to the radiant- 66° and 50°.

I also had some very nice SDA and CAP fireballs during this years Perseids.
