(meteorobs) Fireball Athens suburbs

Dear all

Around 06:30 local time, my fiancee, facing SE, observed a dazzling
fireball starting from SE of the moon (originating around Monocerotid) and
streaking across the sky at slow speed until it disappeared behind
buildings towards the east, without any visible explosion or fizzle, nor
any noise generated. From her report, the colours were green and blue,
there was no train but a small tail extended behind, and it was greater
than the moon's current brightness.

Given the latest reports in Athens and Greece of fireballs and meteors, i
would conservatively estimate that this could have, yet again, produced a
fall however the direction was towards the sea thus not possible, if
anything remained, to recover.

Best regards,
Alex
