(meteorobs) Gamma Delphinids

Dear friends,

It was uttterly, completely cloudy here in west London, Ontario,
alhough I was up and checking during the forecast period. It seemed
worth a try. Therefore I obviously saw no stars, meteors, just
cloud. However, on Tuesday, June 4, while observing with Terence
Dickinson and Susan Gagnon at the Lennox & Addington Dark Sky Viewing
area northwest of Kingston, the sky was breathtakingly clear and I
saw two candidate Gamma Delphinid meteors around midnight Easternj
Daylight time. One was bright, 2nd magnitude, and the second one was
much fainter, around 4th.
I am happy that Peter Jenniskins and his colleague announced
these predictions. It is good to be ready for these possible
outbursts, and if there had been one we would want to catch it.

Sincerely

David H. Levy
