Hello

I have been meaning to write about my observation sooner. Three mornings
ago, I was in bed watching my Near-Sky observatory because there were clear
skies and increased activity in my NAVSPASUR Receiver. It was 4:30 AM, The
Moon was just out of view low in the South, and there were satellites going
by in that typical slow crawl. I witnessed an unusual sight, 4 meteors at
once went across the screen seemingly out of The Moon from due South, in a
formation like a flyby of fighter jets each separated by 5 or 6 degrees,
faint but traveling slower than usual, with traces that persisted longer
than the typical frame or two. They left behind a faint teardrop-shaped
luminescent cloud that encompassed a large area of the sky of at about 15
degrees lasting more than two seconds. What was even more unusual, I could
tell they were decelerating all four at once.

My camera sees better that I do if I were looking at the sky at the same
thing, I doubt if I could have seen this unusual event with my unaided eyes.
