I'm just in from an hour's session on May 5/6... saw over a dozen ETA's. 45 degrees north (Ontario). Driving home with bright twilight (just a few stars and Moon visible), saw a mag -4 ETA heading towards the western horizon.

I was also out May 4/5 and saw what also looked like a mini outburst on that morning...several earthgrazers! Some bright ones!

I agree that the ETA's seem enhanced this year!

More soon,

Pierre

Just heading out now to the dark site outside Edmonton, with the radiant rising in about one hour. I hope the outburst is ongoing! 53½° N has never yielded many etas in the past, but I’m always hopeful.

  More to come.

  Hi Michel,
I observed from 52 north (the Netherlands) and counted about 8-10 ETA’s during dusk. Normaly I see1 or 2 ETA’s during one night, because the radiant stay very low with increasing dusk.
But I still have to write out the data of my voice recorder...
Many bright ones and some brilliant earthgrazers! What a show it must be from southern latitudes....
  Just like the Orionids 1993, 1998, 2006-2010.

  Dear all,

Please, be prepared for enhanced ETA meteor activity!

This morning (May 6), I observed strong ETA rates!

Normally from Belgium, we are able to see 1 or 2 ETA's / hour just before dawn (sometimes even none!) ; this morning I think I counted at least 20/hour!! Amazing earthgrazers including bright ones!

The activity started immediately at radiant rise!!

Please have a look further enhanced ETA activity!

  Data will follow.

  with regards and clear skies,

  Michel Vandeputte
