(meteorobs) Is it normal?

Hello,

After several days of observing for radio meteor echoes in a VOR frequency
with limited success (as high as 11 per hour as average and as low as 0
from time to time) I decided to try with powerful TV transmitters.

Finding a proper frequency here in Havana, Cuba, is kind of difficult.
Channel 9 (187.250) is not in use locally, but the transmitter is yet too
close. After many days of testing different antennas and positions on the
roof I decide to chose a dipole at a height of 0.25 lambda.

The number and intensity of meteor pings is higher than the previous VOR
frequency, even with the relatively high level of direct signal from the
transmitter.

Now, after the long intro (sorry for that) comes the question:

With the VOR station the ping counts were low, but with a prominent
increase two hours after the sun rise and then decreasing. However, with
the TV transmitter I'm getting values quite random during the whole day,
except by a prominent decrease right with sun set. So should I consider
this new results as normals???

I hope to finally stay with one final transmitter chosen to resume the
steady report upload to the Radio Meteor Observing Bulleting Website.

Thanks,

Raydel
