Remember that you will need to tune your receiver to a frequency approximately 1 kHz above or below the transmit frequency to hear the echo, depending on whether you are using upper or lower sideband setting on your receiver.  Most, but not all receivers automatically offset the receiver from the displayed frequency, by about 700 Hz or so.
