I went out to McFarland Park again this morning. There was no fog! And at the end of the session there was no dew! Even tho we are having a drought here in central Iowa, we have been plagued with haze, fog and very heavy dew - I suppose from all the corn and soybeans that haven't completely dried up yet.

My alarm did not go off and I woke about 1:30 am hot and with a head ache. I took two aspirin and went out anyway. I barely got set up to begin observing at 2:00 and for awhile the sky appeared to be gray and not dark, I think because I wasn't dark adapted yet.
