I have seldom observed the STA's in late September so I decided to go out for three hours before Moon rise. What I thought might be the highlight of the session was a mag. - 2 orange Orionid that began ~10 deg S of the Hyades, passed S of the Pleiades and Algol and ended ~5 deg S of the Double Cluster (04:14 UT). But at 04:43 UT occurred a mag. - 10 yellow STA with train. It ended ~2 degrees East of and ~2 degrees below Alpha Ursa Major (top, eastern star in Bowl of Big Dipper).
