This was also captured by our ( URSA ) Fireball Working Group camera
from Mikkeli, operated by Aki Taavitsainan and Jani Lauanne, from a
distance of almost 800 kilometers, with also the skies more or less cloudy.
You can see this image in out "taivaanvahti" at:
http://www.taivaanvahti.fi/observations/show/24332
There is a short sreak of the fireball near the horizon at lower right,
trough cloud opening, apparently.
This allows quite a good calibration (no stars seen in this because of
clouds, but we have up to date star images however) of the image and the
track postion and direction (although from a big distance, decreasing
the actual positional accuracy), the existing calibration (based mainly
on not very present calibration of the cameta) can still be refined.
There are also besides a number of visual oservations, images from other
cameras that show the sky brightening, from Oulu (at around 450 km):
http://www.taivaanvahti.fi/observations/show/24335
and the most nearby and most magnifient sky brightening:
http://www.taivaanvahti.fi/observations/show/24329
within about 100 to 150 km.
You can see the names of the observers etc, in the observations, so do
not repeat here.
There is also an all sky camera obsevation, from Oulu - Muhos that
(besides sky brightening) may also show a single "bit" of the actual
fireball, trough clouds opening.

We do dot have the carlibration of the Murmask video and not even the
actual site known and no data of directions excep what we can judge
fwith help of the others. The (approximate) apparent "fall-angle" has
been in use in my solution, asuming that was from around the center of
Murmansk.

It would now appear that the fireball passed around 50 km (or slightly
more) outside the Finnish borders, although the solution is quite
approximate. Only with a moving direction towards the Arctic Ocean I can
have a general fit with the video. It however probably (not very sure)
fell before reaching the Ocean. IF it passed quite close to the Ocean,
then the landing would have been close to the border between Russia and
Norway, otherway in Russia.

Regards,
Esko
