                  Mathias, West Virginia
                April 25 - April 28, 2014

We had a few good clear hours over a four night period
and I was able to get in a total of 6.3 hours Teff.
It was clear that the Lyrids were over by April 27th.
One possible late Lyrid was seen in two hours on April
27th, but it may have been a chance alignment, as the
sporadic rate was high then. Good activity was seen
again from the Antihelion source. The sporadic count
seemed unusually high for at least a couple of hours.

No meteors seen were brighter than 0 magnitude, but the
best meteor seen was a slow 1st magnitude creamy yellow
colored meteor coming out of the north at 7:50 UT April
27th. The transparency averaged 6.4 magnitude, and the
Milky Way was spectacular at times, when it exceeded 6.6
magnitude. It was fun watching comet C/2012 K1 PanSTARRS
moving from near Lambda towards Eta UMa (about two degrees
over those four nights) while doing other observing with
12x63 binoculars. The comet was about 9th magnitude.
