I thought it would be at least partly cloudy all night, so I went out mothing for a while (I have collected moths for many years, something I can do on cloudy nights). It seemed to be clearing and the satellite views seemed to show that it might be clear long enough to go out. I observed three hours with a fifteen minute break between the second and third hours waiting for a band of clouds to pass thru. I had seen this band os cloud on the satellite view and knew it might cause trouble. The sky was rather free of haze for this time of year. No fireballs were seen.
