After being snowed in by a snow storm that dumped 18 inches of snow
on our semi-remote cabin and observatory on South Branch Mountain, I
was finally able to get a couple hours of good meteor observing in on
the morning of November 30th, after removing snow from a good observing
area. Good meteor activity was seen from the November Orionids (NOO),
Sigma Hydrids (HYD), a few late Leonids (LEO), and the Northern Taurids
(NTA). Low activity was seen from a few other radiants as well. The best
meteors were three 0 magnitude meteors, two from the NOO, and one from
the NTA radiants. Clouds rolled in at the end of the second hour ending
all observing.
