(meteorobs) Recording and quantifying meteor ionization?

Some years ago I wrote about this on the list but did not get any 
responses so I will mention it again.

Optical and radio meteor observers count individual meteors but does 
anyone log the amounts of meteor ionization that can be seen in forward 
scatter spectrographs?

It seems like it would be a trivial matter to scan forward scatter radio 
spectrographs for all the particles registered and also the longer 
lasting meteor trail reflections and come up with a quantitative number 
for the amount of meteor generated ionization that is occurring in the 
ionosphere.

Just scan for light registration against the dark background of the 
radio chart.  And extrapolate.
