(meteorobs) Quadrantids 2014 from Belgium

Hi folks, 

Summary from all my meteor watches around the Quadrantid meteor shower: 

Dec 31 -Jan 01 - 3.53 hours Teff - 59 meteors (7 QUA - 4 COM - 1 ANT - 47 SPOR)
Jan 03 - Jan 04 - 7.08 hours Teff - 187 meteors (137 QUA - 1 DLM - 49 SPOR)
Jan 04 - Jan 05 - 2.50 hours Teff - 50 meteors (12 QUA - 3 DLM - 35 SPOR)
Jan 06 - Jan 07 - 4.05 hours Teff - 57 meteors (10 QUA - 3 DLM - 2 ANT - 42 SPOR)
Jan 09 - Jan 10 - 1.92 hours Teff - 26 meteors (3 QUA - 1 ANT - 22 SPOR)
Jan 11 - Jan 12 - 2.50 hours Teff - 32 meteors (1 QUA - 1 DLM - 30 SPOR) 

In grand total: 6 watches - 21.58 hours Teff - 411 meteors (170 Quadrantids).

No brutal winter cold over Western Europe... instead: rain, storms and mild temperatures. But between all those frontal systems, I enjoyed some long periods with crystal clear skies! Unfortunately, the main Quadrantid maximum was peaking during the period with the lowest radiant altitude. Instead of high meteor numbers, I enjoyed a great display with many earthgrazing meteors and many bright members shortly after the main peak (till magnitude -4).  The last hours before dawn, clouds took over again... but the meteor numbers were already falling down.  Nevermind; it was a great observing night!
