                     July 25th & 29th, 2014

We had a couple of nights with fairly clear skies for doing
some meteor observing on July 25th and July 29th. Although
the conditions were similar, the number of meteors seen was
very noticably higher the 29th due to the incrased activity
from the Sporadics and Delta Aquarids. Later Comet Jacques was
seen both nights moving through Auriga. There was also a bit
of haze and a few clouds on both nights. The best meteor seen
on both mornings was a solo bluw-green -3rd Sigma Capricornid
seen at 7:37 UT on the 25th, the only SCA meteor seen. THe best
meteor seen on the 29th was a -1 magnitude Perseid with a five
second train.
