I had a chance to get out earlier this month, in an attempt to see some Eta Aquarids (ETA). Unlike last year's impressive performance, the shower was a lot quieter. In fact, in two hours of observing on that morning, I did not see any ETA's at all. Perhaps I was watching during a relative lull in activity. On the other hand, sporadics were quite active especially during the first hour, and I saw a beautiful mag -1 antihelion that moved 30 degrees into the north-west.

It sure was nice to be out again!
