Observers reported little activity in southwestern Pennsylvania. From my
observing location about 20 miles south of Pittsburgh, Mingo Observatory,
atop a dark +4 or +5 hill in Washington County the group of 7 astronomy club
members and ~45 guests observing from 9:30PM-4AM observed 10 meteors, 5
likely Camelopardalids. In my own watch spotting a likely bright and slow one
just past Midnight in clear skies, I was optimitic. Before 2AM while our
skies were still clear we heard from an observing location north of
Pittsburgh which reported being clouded in. Clouds moved in from the north. By 2AM
our skies were 100% clouds and remained clouded through 4AM when watch
concluded.
