(meteorobs) Orionids Sunday morning

I went out for four hours Sunday morning.  Orionid rates were low, but during the last hour at 1012 UT I saw a mag - 5 yellow Orionid go down the East side of Canis Major and end ten degrees above the South horizon.  The train formed behind a strip of haze, so apparently lasted only two seconds.  That meteor made the entire session worth while.

McFarland Park 4 miles NE of Ames, Iowa (93 deg  34 min W; 42 deg 05 min N)

Shower members looked for: EGE, LMI, ORI, NTA, STA, TCA
No LMI's were seen.

26 Oct 2014 0930-1030 UT 39 deg F; dew pt 36 deg F; wind calm; mostly clear; horizon haze near end of session scattered small clouds moving into FOV; average LM 5.5; facing East 0930-1020; facing NE 1020-1030 to avoid clouds; teff 1.0 hour.
