This is not unusual as high altitude atmospheric winds will distort such peristant meteor trains. The Victoria Centre of the Rasc recorded a similar event awhile back. See D.W.R. MCKinley's book "Meteor Science and Engineering" 5-8 pages starting at 137, titled "Meteor Trains"
A nice catch!

Thought this was fascinating. Wondering what sort of atmospheric conditions might account for it?
