(meteorobs) Meteors in Iowa

I went out hoping to see some Kappa Cygnids.  I saw only six in five hours observing.  Brightest was mag -2 pale yellow.  Still a few Perseids. Brightest Perseid mag - 3 orange with two second train ending 10 degrees below head of Draco.

I went out because the next few nights are forecast to be cloudy with rain.

McFarland Park 4 miles NE of Ames, Story County, Iowa.

0400 - 0500 16 Aug 2015 UT 70 deg F; dew pt 67 deg F; wind S 6 mph; sky "fair"; LM 5.6; facing North 50 deg; teff 1.0 hour.
Kappa Cygnids: two: 0; +2
Perseids: five: 0; +2; +3(3)
Sporadics: two: +3; +4
Total meteors: nine

0500 - 0600 16 Aug 2015 UT 68 deg F; dew pt 66 deg F; wind S 5 mph; "fair"; LM 5.6; facing N 50 deg; teff 1.0 hr.
Kappa Cygnid: one: - 2
Perseids: six: - 1; 0; +1; +3(3)
Sporadics: three: +1(2); +3
Total meteors: ten

0600 - 0700 16 Aug 2015 UT 71 deg F; dew pt 67 deg F; wind S 7 mph; "fair"; some horizon haze; LM 5.5; facing N 50 deg; teff 1.0 h; between 0615 and 0645 no meteors were seen!  No obvious reason.  I was certainly awake wondering where the meteors were!
