All good luck for the Geminid main peak, Paul @ Florida US, Pierre @ Texas US, Koen et all. @ yeah....where you'll be...;-) and all other members on this list.
Normally; I'll stay at home but I'm crossing fingers for some clear holes in the morning of December 14th.... Chances are minor, but I'll be ready!
Clear skies!

Hi Pierre and Paul,
Good luck to you all who go out for the Geminids.
Here in the Netherlands we have very unfavorable weatherconditions, so
together with Sietse Dijkstra and Carl Johannink I wil travel to an area with
better conditions (hopefully...).
My all sky camera captured on December 8,
9, 11 and 12 four fireballs of resp. –4, –5, –7 and -3. They seem to originate
from the December Monocerotid radiant. Some of the CAMS stations of the CAMS
BeNeLux network captured also these fireballs.
So look at the Geminids, but also for bright Monocerotids (and other minor
showers).
Best wishes, Koen

Thank you and WOW, Pierre - now that's what I call a "ROAD
TRIP"...;o). Best of luck and I am sure that by what I saw this morning
you will be well rewarded indeed for your effort! We are iffy here for max
night, there is talk of a front dropping in on Sunday night. We will be
touch and go here for the max, but we should be good for tonight/tomorrow
morning.
Clear skies all, Paul J in North Florida

Hello
Paul,
Fantastic report! A friend and I are on our way to Texas...
long road trip expedition for the Geminids! The south-central and
south-west seem to be one of the few areas on the entire continent with clear
skies for Sunday night. We're going to camp out there a few
nights. Looking into the Comanche Springs astronomy site which looks
like an impressive place!
Clear skies!
Pierre (from Ottawa.. but
currently past St-Louis :)

Greetings again
all,
Just a quick overview of my four hour
Geminid Marathon session from this morning: What a difference a day
makes! From 130 - 530 EST (0630 - 1030 UT) this morning (Dec 11/12,
2015) from St. Augustine, Florida, I had 127 GEMS and 57 others for 184 total
meteors under 6.0 skies. That's an average of 46 total meteors per
hour.
The GEM hourly counts were: 35, 36, 33
and 24. Lots of bright GEMs: I had one -4, one -3, two -2 and six
-1s! Also, a spectacular -2 earthgrazing sporadic covered almost the
entire sky just minutes before I signed off!! Overall an amazing show
indeed and we are still well short of the actual
maximum!
More later when I crunch all the
numbers.
Clear skies, Paul J in North
Florida
