Hi,

I enjoyed the (rare) clear skies in the morning of Nov 23th here from Western Belgium.
I could observe for 3 hours before dawn, covering the period of Vaubaillons prediction on the 661 trail (encounter 2.51 UT).
This is what I observed:

Nov 23

02.30 - 03.30 UT - Teff. 1.00h - Lm 6.13 (interfering moonlight) - facing eastern direction.

Leonids: 3 (+1, +2,+2)
November Orionids: 1 (+2)
Taurids: 1 (+2)
Sporadics: 9

03.30 - 04.30 UT - Teff 1.00h - Lm 6.30 -

Leonids: 6 (+1,+2,+4,+0,-4,+3)
November Orionids: 2 (-1,+2)
Taurids: 2 (+1,+2)
Sporadics: 13

04.30 - 05.30 UT - Teff. 1.00h - Lm 6.25 (morning twillight starting)

Leonids: 6 (-1,+2,-1,+4,+3,-2)
November Orionids: 0
Taurids: 0
Sporadics: 9

In grand total: 52 meteors including 15 Leonids, 3 Nov Orionids, 3 Taurids and 31 Sporadics

I had the impression that Leonids were a bit more impressive as you should normally observe on Nov 23...

Do someone else share this experience??

Clear skies!

Michel.
