Greetings again all,
Just a brief summary report from Butler Beach is all I can provide
from last night as the looming cloud issue intensified even more and
limited me to just stray holes in the clouds here and there wherever I
could get them. I even fell asleep by the seaside for awhile waiting for
the clouds to break. The sound of the surf is so soothing.

It was frustrating as meteors seemed to be popping pretty nicely up
there when there were holes, but a serious watch was not possible. I had
about a dozen meteors in about 40 minutes total time between 1130 p. m. and
1:15 a. m.with a couple of pretty Perseids and two nice South delta
Aquariids slipping in between the clouds. I even had another July gamma
Draconid candidate before the clouds completely took over and shut me down
for the night.

I'll give it a whirl again tonight as hope springs eternal that this
depressing cloudy after dark pattern we are currently in will reverse
itself. It had even rained on Butler Beach just before I got there...
Bermuda High, where have you gone, Joe Dimaggio...;o)?!

Clear skies, Paul J in North Florida
