Description:
This galaxy is easily seen close to the bright star Beta Andromedae (orange 
color, magnitude 2.1). I was expecting a more difficult object, but NGC 404 
was obvious at 50x. The star glare is not much inconvenience in the 
observation. Best seen with 80x and 100x. The galaxy is round in shape and has 
a uniform brightness.
