Description:
Climbed from Gamma Geminorum 10 degrees or so NE to M35. Striking sight
at x25 (40mm) Kellner on this night, totalled as an average. Tried as I
might (12.5 mm, 6.3mm) I could not make NGC 2158 yield any gaseous glow
to N of M35's fringe, despite the chevron-shaped "pointer arrow" of
a line of stars inside M35. NGC 2158 described itself only with a shell
of 7-10 mag stars.
