Description:
138X - NGC6814 appears as a hazy round area with a small moderately bright
core, but no stellar nucleus.

254X - NGC6814 with direct vision appears round with three nearly evenly space
spiral arms around the periphery. The core is small, round, moderately brighter
than the halo. There is a 10.5 mag star in the south east at 9.0', PA=289* at
the edge of the FOV. and a 13.4 mag star at 2.3', PA=141*. With averted vision
there appears to be an annular ring around the core, then the spiral structure.
This ring feature is very subtile and uncertain.
