Data: mag various size various
Position: RA : DEC :
Description:
Nice group of galaxies within 6 arcmin! NGC 5898 (11,4magv) and 5903
(11,2magv) appear equally bright with a size of approx. 1,5' each. Both galaxies
have a bright round center but fail to display a nucleus or stellar core. Fairly high
surface brightness. NGC 5903 is slightly oval in contrast to the round NGC 5898.
The faint neighbor galaxy M-4-36-7 (or PGC 54644, 13,5magv) has a fairly bright
stellar core surrounded by a faint 0,7x0,2' halo. Easy at 342x. At low magnification
this galaxy appears almost stellar.
