Constellation: Lyr
Data: mag 13,3 size 28"
Position: RA 18:50 DEC +35:14
Description:
Faint oval of approx. 12x16" size. The planetary is definitely smaller than its given
size in Uranometria. The oval extends roughly NE-SW. The disk of the planetary is
not uniform but brighter towards the center with fading edges. An embedded star
(CS ?) is located slightly N of the center. With averted vision the object looks
almost fan-shaped (cometary). The use of the OIII filter does show the PN a little
bit brighter but details are still very subtle and difficult to discern. The star (CS?) is
not visible with the use of the OIII. Observations with 342x magnification.
